Security programs protect your computer from viruses and
other things that can damage your computer. Norton, McAfee, Kaspersky are just
a couple of software’s you can use to protect your computer. Norton’s security
is great, it scans various parts of your computer, like your history, activity
and different settings. It protects your identity by giving you a virtual vault
that stores all your log-in data, and it has 24-hour support. But there are
some negatives to it, Norton is $99.99 so it’s a bit on the expensive side, it
also slows your computer down. The pros for McAfee it’s that is affordable it
ranges from $40-$50, it warns about dangerous websites, and you can install it
on more than one computer. The cons for this protection it probably the worse
of them all. It protects to a point but sometimes it doesn’t recognize some viruses
and other threats and just let them slip right through and messes up your
computer. Kaspersky security is similar to Norton. It has advanced protection,
protects your pass-codes. One thing that stood out to me about Kaspersky is that
it can also protect your smartphone. But the cons about the software is that the
support is not 24 hours, and because this software is designed for internet explorer,
it sometimes has issues with the newer and upcoming browsers like google chrome
and Firefox.
My recommendation would be to get the Kaspersky. It has
everything from quick scans, to full scans for your computer and it has
protection software for your cell phone. The only issue is that sometimes it
has a little trouble differentiating the browsers and it’s not 24-hour support.
I would rather have Kaspersky and basically have everything Norton has at a
lower price. Norton is a great software but the price is extremely costly.
